1. RECEPTIONIST
Hi, my name is Ciara Hall, I am 21 years old, and have been working in Dublin since I was 18, I recently got made redundant, as the firm I was working for closed down.
Before that happened I was their receptionist, the first person people saw when they walked in the door! I would answer their queries, direct them to the right place or the right person, and, of course, give them plenty of coffee and tea if for any reason they were kept waiting! I also looked after ordering taxis, couriers and stationery. My job included booking venues for staff training sessions, and organising the Christmas Party.
I love being on reception, I get a real thrill out of chatting to new people as well as recognising old faces! As a receptionist you get to know everyone in the company you work for, so you can see when people are having a bad day and I always try to see if there is anyway I can help them out.
Thank you for taking the time to look at me - I hope we meet in person soon! I am free to start straight away.
2. SALES
Hello. First of all I would like to introduce myself - my name is Niamh O'Toole, I am 27 years old and was lucky enough to land a great job in sales when I graduated from UCC five years ago. I am currently employed but am looking for a more challenging role.
I have progressed up the ladder to Senior Sales Manager in a large dairy company, where I look after all the convenience stores in the Munster region. I am responsible for not just selling the products, but also ensuring that I get great displays. I frequently work with the buyers to ensure that the company I work for benefits from the best positions within their Category Management plans.
In sales, one of the most important things is to form great personal relationships with your customer. I believe that this is one of my core strengths, this has been particularly important in the last couple of years when the customers are under so much pressure, and, trust me, they are passing that on!
My core skills are negotiation, people management, category management and closing the deal.
I hope that I have used my sales skills in this CV and have persuaded you that I am the person you are looking for.
I would have to give one month's notice with my current employer. I am happy to work anywhere in Ireland.
3. FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Hello. My name is Fintan Gordon. I am 38 years old, an Accountancy and Finance graduate from NUI Galway, and am a CFA - recognised Chartered Financial Analyst. With 15 years' experience under my belt I believe I am a skilled and reliable Financial Controller for any company in these more challenging times.
My current job is as Financial Controller of a medium-sized service company, who specialise in advertising and marketing, prior to that I worked for a manufacturing company, so have a good breadth of experience. I look after all aspects of accounting, taxation and financial analysis. The sector I am in has been under enormous pressure, and all companies within it are looking to see how they can alter a business model that is no longer viable, so I have spent considerable time in the last few months helping put together a financial report and business plan to take the company forward profitably.
Sadly, I have also been involved in the downsizing of the organisation; this has not only required my financial skills but also my interpersonal ones. As well as my financial skills I also engage with my colleagues and the business in a broader way. I think that my experience in both the manufacturing and service industries has given me an in-depth and thorough understanding of all financial issues.
I am currently based in Galway, and would have to give one month's notice.
4. IT
Hello. My name is James Ryan and I am 26 years old. I am a web developer specialising in PHP, Java and Dot Net. I have been developing websites for different companies in the financial sector for the past five years.
I am recently unemployed due to the economic downturn but am keen to be back working full time as soon as possible. During my time off I have been developing my jQuery and HTML5 skills so that I am fully up to date with the latest web development languages.
I can work on my own or as part of a team and enjoy problem solving. I have a keen interest in art and design and try to make my websites look good, as well as working properly.
I am available to start in a suitable position immediately and am flexible to travel anywhere in the east of the country.
Thank you
